How much of the catalogue this page covers

Read this before quoting any figure from the page.

Special national monuments
150 / 153

Nearly complete. The gap of 3 comes from the source contradicting itself between its summary table and its detailed list, not from missing data.

National monuments
1.848 / 3.677

Just over half — roughly 1.829 entries are still missing. The Department's own catalogue currently shows only 6 entries, so the remainder cannot be traced to any official source.

The Department's catalogue of special national monuments stopped at a decision dated 24/12/2018 with 107 entries — 46 short, and nearly eight years without an update. This is the same pattern seen in the intangible heritage catalogue, which stopped on 08/5/2023.

The four monument types under the Law on Cultural Heritage

Select a type to filter the list below.

A monument may belong to several types at once — that is the legal reality, not a data error. The type written in the ranking decision is kept verbatim; grouping into four categories is inferred for lookup purposes.

Intangible heritage is a separate catalogue

A monument is RANKED on a scientific dossier about a place or structure. Intangible heritage is INSCRIBED for a practice held by a community, and under Article 23 of the Law on Intellectual Property it grants exclusivity to no one. Two catalogues, two legal procedures, not interchangeable.
